How much does a Database Consultant/Developer charge?

We need to know how much a database consultant would charge to design and develop a database for our class project. It is a relatively simple task, but we are clueless as to the cost.

Please be honest, money is not a concern, though knowing the amount is. Also, include sources if available!

Thank you!

You should contact these guys at EZLAVA. They have programmers that can do custom stuff, but it sounds like you can do it yourself with thier database builder. Give them a call about your project and be specific. They'll be able to give you an answer right away. You'll probably be able to do it yourself and save a ton of money using their site builder.
Reply:it all depends on the scope of the project and the size and what type of database you are wokring with..

I usually charge about 30 an hour for a small to mid size Ms Access database

for something like a mysql I usually charge a little just because of the use of mysql so more like a hour but I know people that charge like 135 a hour for a damm foxpro 6 DB thats crazy so just look into what type of DB and the scope of it good luck
Reply:You'll get many different values, but my coding work is $55 and up per hour.

My DBA work is $30/hour for logical modeling.

$65 for install/maintenance/tuning, depending on the platform.
