After about an hour, I went to throw away the bottle, and it was extremely hot. I figure it's some sort of chemical reaction, but what is reacting?
Why was the developer bottle hot when I dyed my hair today?
It is the Creme Color Developer being mixed with the coloring chemical! The developer is used to stabilize the color staining so your hair won't fall out! The heat opens the cuticle which gets stained by the color!
Reply:first time you have notice that?, yes they get pretty hot. becareful next time
Reply:Depending on the color, sometimes when mixing the developer with turn warm almost hot. This is ok, it still will work and you wont have any problems.
