What are some game developer colleges that basically guarantee you a job?

Lots of colleges will make big claims about employment figures for their graduates, but I know of none that can ethically guarantee you a job in anything. The only such guarantee I'd accept is one that comes from the employer--in writing, and notarized!--and even then I'd worry that the employer could be bought out or gone broke by the time I graduated.

Frankly, game design as a college major strikes me as a boondoggle. Who did EA and Sierra and Broderbund and those types employ as designers and programmers back in the 80s and 90s before there was such a thing as a computer gaming major? The jobs for entry-level game programmers are oversupplied already and from what I hear, they're low-paying drudge work--just what you'd expect when there are more applicants than there are openings.

If you really love computer programming, take general programming courses and some business courses as well and make yourself more in demand. Then develop your own computer games on your own time and find a way to market them without having to slave in the cellars of EA Games.

Any decent college will do if you join honors program, graduate in top few percentile, show incentive, and have good social networking skills to get the right connections!
