How can I tell if someone is a core java developer from their resume?

I am constantly asked to find people with "core java" as opposed to J2EE but not all people write "core java" on their resume so its hard to tell... what should I look out for to indicate core java work?

Plus 'core' is just Java Standard Edition... java + standard APIs..
