What is the most common profile of a web developer?

I would have to say creativity.

What is the most common profile of a web developer?
I don't think creativity is very important.

It is important to understand how things work, to be good at what you are doing, and to be able to ask for a second opinion. Many developers are used to doing something the same way, so they don't spend time on improving their abilities and skills.

I think the most important thing is attention to details. If a developer does not understand the importance of "small things", the result could be disappointing.
Reply:This really depends on what area of web development you mean.

However with programming the main traits are creativity and the ability to think out of the box, patience and a keen eye for spotting the small details.

It is also if you deal with programming to be able to break up tasks and to be able to see past the problems. It is rare that an application/site will run in a linear fashion and everything you want to do will be clear cut.
Reply:Coding skills, of course; creativity; sensitivity toward muliple user groups (including disabled and users of different types of devices/browsers); writing skills (grammar, etc.); and, perhaps, willingness to sacrifice many or all of these when the customer demands web pages that runs contrary to these interests
