Can a software developer get bonded and insured?

We are developing a new software program for our first client. There is no guarantee the software will work perfectly. Can we get bonded or insured for the project?

Best scenario would be to consult with a legal professional on what's appropriate for your business needs.

But you can look at some legal docs online you might find useful... Just make sure you both agree to the terms.

Reply:What kind of software writer are you that you cannot promise that your software will not function? If I was to ask for certain software then if it did not function do you think I be sitting around and do nothing to recover my cost? If you cannot guarantee that your software then do not try to write a software.

Test your software first or ask 3rd party to test it for you or better still hire a staff to test your SOFTWARE 1st.

Dont use lame excuse to say it might not work. Get a grip and do it properly
