So far, this was the only cert I was thinking of getting as a web developer: Certified Internet Professional (CIW):

Last time I checked into it, it sounded like a half decent certification, tested the right skills, and was gaining in respect among colleges, more slowly among businesses.
I've gotten a lot of cert's as an IT Trainer, so have had quite a few in the past, and this one sounded pretty good, as far as cert's go.
