Well the TNA game's right around the corner. Although aparently they're already working on the second one which means it could launch a yearly version :(





I think the problem is that the WWE games tend to follow the EA format. By releasing a slightly improved game (suposedly) with an updated roster means that people have to buy the new game to "keep up." It makes more money for the company but, it's really annoying for the fans :(
Reply:midway is already making one. it is called tna impact! and will be released in summer. it is more fast-paced and high-impact than the svr series.

Reply:SvR games are fun, but yes the name is getting old. Maybe instead of calling the next game Smackdown vs Raw 2009 they'll actually be creative

The problem is that the WWE has an agreement with THQ to make WWE-licensed games, so no other developer can use any WWE logos, characters, or other copyrighted material in their games.
Reply:I was expecting some great stuff from SvR08. But it was worse than 07. In the career mode, you get the same cut scenes all the time. The graphics are pretty terrible on PS2 as well.


Maybe they just need an entirely new concept on the game.


I used to love Smackdown vs. Raw but it's gone pretty downhill tbh. I agree, maybe another developer should take over.
Reply:In a way I do agree. Maybe one idea though is you tried getting a way to contact THQ and then e-mailing them. I think that they could improve the game by adding all the characters and introduce something on ps 2 where you can use your own music cds as a theme entrance
Reply:"Smackdown vs Raw" doesnt really make sense now all PPV's a cross-brand again and ECW and Smackdown are working together, but all the while its called SDvsR they dont have to change the gameplay or make it not suck lol
Reply:Its like NFL Madden, they have exclusive rights to make the game, So they have no competition.and don't really improve the game


Same with SVR series they have no competition, And I think that the new TNA game will be it, and so then if it gets positive reviews THQ will have to step it up

Reply:Get fire pro wrestling its 20 bucks. Doesn't have great graphics but you can do every wrestling move imaginable,gameplay is awesome.
