How do I install the Java Developer's Kit if I don't have an administrator account?

I want to install it at school, and although I have permission, I would have to get a network administrator to come over just to install this tiny program. It takes two seconds to install, but I want to know if I can do it without getting the administrator.

Without administrative rights, you typically can't install programs. This is to keep students from downloading/installing programs that aren't approved. If your IT department is any good, they can install it for you remotely. As you say, this would only take a few seconds.
